What is Flow?

Flow is a new payments platform addressing the shocking problem of late payments specifically for creative industries.

Who is behind it?

Founded Glen Cassidy in 2020, Flow is an Australian owned and backed company. It’s part fin-tech, part booking platform, part new way for the creative and freelance economy to pay and get paid.

How does it work?

It’s very simple. Simply signup and create an account as either a contractor or business. You will connect your designated bank account for money to flow in and out of, and you’re ready to start creating bookings. Bookings take under 30 seconds to create, and the other party is invited into the platform as part of the booking process. Once they accept the booking, payment flows are locked and invoices auto-created for both parties. At the conclusion of the booking, the creative / contractor is instantly paid by Flow. This triggers an instalment payment plan for the client and they start paying us back at a time that best suits their cashflow. Everyones a winner.

Are you a bank?

Absolutely not. Flow is, however, built on banking grade technology, with an embedded finance solution built right into the core of the platform that allows for fast, frictionless payments both too, and from, users. Sign up, book, schedule payments, and receive money instantly.

How much does it cost?

This is an ongoing experiment, but right now, fees are 1.5% of your total invoice per transaction. Fees are automatically deducted at the time of payment.

Why did you build Flow?

Having spent all his career working in, and building businesses in creative industries, it became eye-wateringly apparent to founder, Glen Cassidy, that the economic foundations of the creative economy are disturbingly fragile…late payments are really just the tip of the iceburg. Imagining a world where this was not the case, he set out build a faster, fairer system, where both parties win, where creative industries thrive, prosper and help shape a future we all want to be part of. So far, so good…we are working with some of the most sort after creatives, businesses, and government organisations in country, and backed by the NSW Treasury.

Can I tell my friends?

Sure! You can invite them into the platform once inside the platform either by creating a booking or using the invite feature. We assess all users to ensure they are legitimate contractors or businesses.
